Portal to China, an innovative and content-rich iOS app is launched today globally by North Head, a strategic communications consultancy headquartered in Beijing, China.  The app is a comprehensive guide to China’s political system, including its executive, legislative, and judicial branches, and the Communist Party of China.  It is a useful tool for both experienced China hands and those who are only starting to interact or do business with China. It also offers an overview of the country’s geography, evolving government structures, and dynamic senior leadership.

North Head Managing Director John Russell commented, “As global interest in China continues to increase and the Chinese government follows a steady path of reform, we observe a growing demand for resources that explain in an easy-to-understand manner China’s approach to governance.
Portal to China is our attempt to fill this need.”

Portal to China is a gateway to understanding China’s unique political landscape. It outlines China’s vast government hierarchy, clearly delineating government agency responsibilities, key representatives, and synergies. The app also contains a section titled ‘Beijing Speak’ that explains key concepts and buzzwords used in the circles of Chinese policy makers.

“In addition to the very large amount of information on the Chinese government, which is updated in an ongoing fashion,
Portal to China also introduces commentary by North Head consultants on current developments in China. The app’s ‘Download Center’ allows users to download and read our newest reports and analysis in a number of industry sectors,” added John Russell.

The concept and content for the
Portal to China app was developed independently by North Head, reflecting the needs of clients that the consultancy supports in China and around the globe, and it is launched in the run-up period to the company’s fourth anniversary later this year.
